The first recorded mention of Tachlovice dates to 1234. The Baroque Church of St James the Greater was rebuilt in 1741 at the expense of Anna Maria of Tuscany and consecrated in 1742. The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows is among the oldest buildings in Tachlovice.
